Trackballs and websites
I ordered a trackball in February from a local retailer, eventually received it, then discovered the wrist rest that was supposed to be included wasn’t. The wheels moved quite slowly for resolving the issue and I had to follow up several times because communication is not exactly a strong point of the retailer. The trackball had been shipped directly from the supplier and that’s where the hold up was…Anyway, last week, I finally received another trackball and will be able to keep the original too. I took the wrist rest and the Scientist has taken the new trackball to use with his new notebook computer. It took awhile but satisfaction was achieved.
This weekend I got a bit wild and crazy and got set up with an Australian web host for my own web space and domain. I had made an attempt at using the webspace from our isp for a blog but managed to be hacked within a couple days. By that point, I knew enough about what I was doing that starting over wasn’t a problem so I deleted the whole thing and planned to start anew. The Scientist strongly recommended that I instead get my own webspace and do everything there. We got a rate increase notice from our isp last week and although we aren’t moving now, there is the possibility of moving in the future. That made sense so I took the plunge. I have been playing around with the website over the last couple days and I am already learning heaps. My blogs will be permanently set up on my site in the very near future and I am working on plans as to how to use the other space available while I learn all I can about creating websites. So far it’s been a lot of fun.
