I Voted

I only just got my ballot today so I filled it out and sent it off within the hour. It cost $13.50 to send it back and I’m not sure it will arrive in time. They say two weeks and that’s pretty much on the edge of when it’s due back, five days post election…or the first business day after that. I hope it works but I will likely never know. At least I have tried. Next election I will request the ballot much earlier. There is only one race listed on the ballot, which I find interesting. It was for the House of Representatives.

My local city will often send an e-mail message when they receive my ballot. (Though this year I already voted and they should have my ballot, but I haven’t gotten that message.) I really appreciate it when they do that. Sometimes they even include a link to digital “I voted!” stickers in the e-mail message. :)

Our ballots this time were super long — lots of races, and several ballot proposals. Interesting that yours had only one contest on it.

I think I can check if it arrives through some online thing when I can find it. Last time I don’t think my ballot ever got there. :(
This was the only ballot I’ve seen that’s so limited. Last time I did midterms there were more races for sure.
